Sunlight illuminates flowing water as it cascades through the rocky landscape of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, revealing the beauty of light and movement in the forest.
Water and light are constantly changing the landscape of the Great Smoky Mountains. Even along a familiar trail, the way sunlight reaches the rocks and flowing water can create an entirely different scene.
In *Sunlight Through the Falls*, the interaction of natural light and moving water draws attention to the textures of the rocks and the cascades flowing between them.
Photographed during my journey through the Smokies, this scene captures one of those moments when the light makes you stop, look a little closer, and reach for the camera.
